- 2 pounds of ground beef (minced meat)
- 2 ground chorizos
- 1 cup of crushed cookies or breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs
- 1 onion, chopped into brunoise (small cubes)
- 1 green pepper
- 2 boiled eggs
- Salt, pepper, all-purpose seasoning, cumin, and parsley, to taste
- Olives and raisins
In a large bowl, mix the ground meat and the chorizos. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper. Incorporate everything well and season to your liking with the dry spices (salt, pepper, complete seasoning, cumin, and parsley). Add the olives, raisins, and two beaten eggs.
Mix well, and when you have the ingredients thoroughly combined, gradually add the crushed cookies to achieve the ideal consistency. The mixture should be compact but not too stiff.
Place the dough on a piece of aluminum foil and shape it into a cylinder. Try to make it well-packed to prevent it from breaking during cooking. Cover it with ketchup, seal the aluminum foil, and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes at around 350 ºF (180ºC).
It can be served hot or cold. It can be accompanied by various sides such as roasted potatoes, rice, or salad. However, it can also be enjoyed with bread, crackers, or as a cold cut to accompany a Cuban beer.
