Otaola criticizes La Diosa and advises her to let go of the victim mentality

"He doesn’t want me to drain the Watsco," Otaola said

The influencer Alexander Otaola advised the Cuban singer La Diosa to abandon a victim mentality and recommended that she and others, whom he believes are stuck in the past, always look forward.

"The Goddess teamed up with Yotuel... The Goddess is determined to hold onto her popularity. She doesn't want the Watsco to be empty; she wants it filled forever," said Otaola on his show El Mañanero during a discussion with two of his collaborators.

He went on to say terrible things about Yotuel because he didn't want to make Armando's song. Yotuel, when Armando was composing the song, was in the middle of Patria y Vida, at its peak. No one is going to leave a topic like Patria y Vida to make Armando's song, which is really just Armando's song, and I rest my case," Otaola remarked. He also took the opportunity to dedicate various praises to Patria y Vida and asserted that no musical piece advocating for the freedom of Cuba will surpass it.

The influencer stated that he did not know "what triggered" La Diosa's reaction and that he was not very aware of the details surrounding the disagreement with Yotuel regarding the song "Cuba Primero." He mentioned that he only saw a snippet of the live stream on TikTok where the singer discussed that issue, but he did indicate that it seems Yotuel never responded to La Diosa about the collaboration proposal.

"You can have all the opinions you want. Did you call Yotuel? Did you reach out to him? I understand that with the 'mess' on TikTok, one might feel the need to act that way, but you can't treat everyone or behave the same way with everyone. It doesn't seem right to me," Otaola added, finding it "unfortunate" that the singer brought up the topic on the social media platform.

“No artist, including her, is required to collaborate with another colleague,” she argued, citing the example of Diosa’s refusal to work with Señorita Dayana.

"You have the right not to team up with whoever you want, and everyone else has the right not to team up with you if they choose not to. This is not an indication that they don’t like you or that they despise you; it has nothing to do with that. Stop victimizing yourselves. There’s no reason for it. Let go of the past; it’s already gone, and the future is yet to come. You cannot face the future while holding onto the past," she insisted.

The influencer concluded by saying that "what happened is experience, armor, but it shouldn't be the case that we have to remember the past every ten minutes."

Alexander Otaola's recommendation to Dianelys Alfonso Cartaya, who has long referred to him as "godfather," aligns with other similar advice that the singer of "La papaya de 40 libras" has received repeatedly in recent days, following several live broadcasts about situations she has been involved in with various people.

In the most recent episode, Miami Vice's statements about why they prevented La Diosa from singing at Enrique Santos' Pool Party sparked an outraged reaction from the Cuban singer on her social media, after which she deleted the video from her accounts.

At the time of this report, there is no indication that La Diosa has publicly responded to Alexander Otaola's recommendation. The singer had granted her first interview to his program at the end of January after arriving in the United States with her family under humanitarian parole.

A few weeks later, in mid-March, La Diosa performed at the singing contest La Hora Karaola, an event organized in Miami by the influencer who last month announced his candidacy for the mayoralty of Miami-Dade.

On April 22, Alexander Otaola took to the stage at Watsco to support La Diosa during the concert, something the singer expressed her gratitude for afterward.

"Alexander Otaola, I owe you my life. In every program, you showcased my concert. I am loyal to you, and those who don’t understand that, don’t understand. I am a grateful woman," stated Dianelys Alfonso Cartaya shortly after the performance.
