A Cuban man was arrested in Hialeah for entering his ex-girlfriend's house without permission, where he hit her and destroyed several objects.
The events took place on Sunday night. Maikel Bauza-Torres, 38 years old, showed up at the apartment of the woman who had been his romantic partner for four years. He entered without permission and slapped her on the cheek.
Afterwards, he threw several objects to the floor, broke some decorations, and left, not without first taking a speaker that both had bought together.
After receiving the complaint, the police investigated and discovered that Bauza-Torres had a restraining order requested by the victim.
The Cuban man was arrested by the Police on Wednesday night at 561 East 25th Street in Hialeah. According to the arrest warrant, he resisted being detained. Once at the station, he chose not to make a statement.
On Thursday, he appeared in criminal court, where he was charged with three counts: robbery with assault, aggravated stalking, and resisting arrest.
América TeVe shared a video of the appearance.
Judge Mindy S. Glazer imposed another restraining order and several restrictions, denied bail, so the defendant remains in preventive custody.
