They are seeking help for a low-weight baby in Havana: "She has been hospitalized for over two months."

Little Hanna doesn't know her home because she remains hospitalized due to her low weight. Activists are trying to help her by providing infant formula so she can gain weight.

An activist sought help on social media this Wednesday for a baby girl under two months old, who is currently hospitalized at the Hijas de Galicia Maternal and Child Hospital in Havana, as she weighs only 2,250 grams.

Yankiel Fernández reached out for help on Facebook to provide the family with formula or formula milk, so that little Hanna can gain weight and be discharged.

The activist reported that the mother is desperate because the baby is admitted to the neonatal ward and is under care.

"He is only two months old, born on May ninth; since then, he hasn’t known his home," the activist noted.

The economic crisis in Cuba particularly impacts vulnerable groups, including young children, which leads to frequent requests for assistance for low-income families.

Relatives of a Cuban child suffering from the condition known as "butterfly skin" are seeking assistance to obtain the medications the child needs.

The family, based in Pinar del Río, is urgently seeking help for Liam Vento Garriga, a toddler who is about to turn two years old on July 19th.

Liam was born with a chronic genetic condition called Epidermolysis Bullosa, commonly referred to as "butterfly skin," which causes blisters to form on his skin from simply scratching or from the friction of clothing, according to a Facebook post from the profile "ElMusk Reeve."

In June, a Cuban family sought help to have their five-month-old baby undergo surgery for a brain tumor.

The girl’s aunt wrote to CiberCuba to publicize the case, as the minor needs medical supplies that, according to doctors, are not available in the country.

"I have my little niece, only five months old, admitted and awaiting surgery, but unfortunately one of the medical supplies she needs is a valve with an LCR filter for shunting, and it is not available," she said.
