Cuban welcomes his mother to the United States: "After a long journey, finally with me"

"Today is one of the happiest days of my life," confessed this young Cuban who lives in Houston.

In an emotional video that has touched many TikTok users, a Cuban resident in Houston shared the moment he welcomes his mother at the border after nine months of waiting in Mexico.

"My people, I am super happy today, today is one of the happiest days of my life. It's been over 9 months since I had my mom in Mexico and thanks to God she finally got her appointment, and I am here at the border because I came to pick her up and thank God everything went well. They released her and I came and bought her balloons like we all Cubans do, and I’m going over there to pick her up now, let’s see."

The video continues with him showing his excitement and the preparations for the reunion: "I'm crazy to see her, my people, I want to share with you. Look, I just bought these balloons for her and we're going to pick her up, my people. Here we go, all set, ready to welcome my mom, a gentleman at the border, with her balloons, little hat, and American flag, we're on our way there, see you soon."

Jorge, known as @jorge_drake1992 on the internet, also wrote about the video: "Welcome my mother to this great country after a long journey finally with me."

The post received numerous supportive comments and congratulations, reflecting the community's joy for this reunion.

"Friend, I want to tell you that you made me cry, thousands of blessings"; "Congratulations, my friend, you deserve it, and many blessings for the baby"; "What happiness, GOD bless you, and now it's time to enjoy... Welcome"; "Congratulations, my brother"; "Blessings and all the good for your mom"; "Hallelujah, God bless you!!!"; "Blessings, brother, how much I would give to hug mine right now"; "A mother is a mother, that love is wonderful," some told him.

After this, he shared another video of her first visit to a supermarket, where he took her to overcome the fears caused by the scarcity on the island and to see that there is nothing missing.

"I brought her straight from the border to Walmart," she says, visibly happy as she watches her mother's reaction to so much variety and abundance.
