The humanitarian project "Aliento de Vida" reported this Wednesday that, thanks to the solidarity of people in the United States, it continues to deliver humanitarian aid to families of children and adolescents with cerebral palsy.

Yankiel Fernández, leader of the initiative, reported on Facebook that over the weekend they delivered some donations to children and adolescents with cerebral palsy, "thanks to our wonderful team from the U.S.," he noted.

The activist shared some photos that show the delivery of humanitarian aid with a beautiful message: “The joy of knowing that we were able to offer help is not about big or small, since in times of need, all help is well received.”

Fernández thanked the people who have allowed "us to reach our little angels with cerebral palsy."

Lastly, he expressed: "Love should be put more into actions than into words," and in his case, with the initiative "Aliento de Vida," he has been helping the families of these children and young people for some time.

In last July, Fernández requested financial assistance to continue his program for the care of children and young people with cerebral palsy, an initiative that started four years ago.

The activist and leader of the project explained on Facebook that they are currently helping 12 children, but announced that "soon we will be attending to 15 in Havana, and 20 in Pinar del Río."

The work of this project and its leader is of great importance in the current Cuban landscape, where the regime is capable of leaving a teenager with cerebral palsy in Las Tunas without milk.

The incident, which occurred in 2023, was reported by the Cuban Observatory of Human Rights, which shared a video on its social media showing the case.
