A mother expressed her gratitude on social media towards a young man who, with an altruistic and honest gesture, returned a tablet that her grandson had lost at the Colón bus stop in Pinar del Río this Tuesday.
Yamile Cruz expressed her gratitude in the Facebook group "TODO - PINAR" towards a young man named Yosniel, whom she described as "an excellent human being and father" for having found and returned the tablet that her son lost on Sunday at Vial Colón.
"A million thanks. Forever in debt," expressed the mother, showing her deep gratitude toward the young man, who demonstrated a high level of honesty, something that contrasts with the Cuban reality, where many take advantage of any opportunity to make money.
Last Sunday, Pedro Pablo Cruz, the grandfather of the child who lost the tablet, asked for help in that Facebook group, informing that the little one had lost that object on Colón road.
In addition to sharing her contact information for anyone who might find it, she requested the help of people to recover the tablet.
Amid the intensification of the economic crisis, gestures of kindness like this are rare and highly appreciated.
In July, a young resident of Santiago de Cuba found a wallet with documents and cards in the street and immediately looked for a way to return it to its owner, without expecting any reward in return.
The protagonist of such a commendable gesture communicated with the independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada, who shared on his Facebook wall the photo of an official document where the gentleman's name appears.
