Chaos in Havana: The P-8 and P-6 routes may be left without buses

Several broken buses are straining the transportation situation in Havana.

Users who rely on the P-8 and P-6 routes for transportation in Havana may face serious difficulties accessing this service starting this Thursday.

Transportación Habana TH announced on their Facebook profile: "At this moment, there are no P-8 or P-6 buses, the buses are out of service," highlighting the service suspension due to technical issues with the units.

Additionally, he mentioned: "Reinforcement buses are expected; we just have to wait for their arrival," without providing details on when this situation, which affects users of these routes, will be resolved.

Mobility in Havana is complicated this Thursday due to weather conditions, with heavy rains since early morning making travel around the city even more difficult.

In July, the Cuban government acknowledged the transportation crisis in the country, revealing that more than half of the provincial routes are halted, as reported this Tuesday during the session of the Cuban Parliament.

Eduardo Rodríguez Dávila, Minister of Transport (Mitrans), stated that by the end of April, 52% of the routes operated by provincial transport companies were inactive, as reported by the official newspaper Granma.
