Jorge Junior shared on his social media a fragment of an interview that Robertico did with El Taiger almost two years ago, where his cousin spoke about what it had meant to him. In the interview, El Taiger remembered Jorge with great respect, saying: "My cousin is the best at everything." Jorge Junior reacted emotionally to recalling these words, confessing that the video made him cry and deeply moved him in these difficult times.
"Damn, you don't stop making me cry. Someone sent me this, and when I saw it, I felt a strong urge to call you. These are the best and truest words you've said about us. Here I am still picking up what you left scattered, as you always did, spoiled," wrote the director of Los 4.
Jorge Junior's post has generated a wave of reactions filled with sadness and admiration, along with comments that reflect the pain of his followers. "Strength, my brother, your family is loved," wrote a follower on Facebook. Another commented, "This man had enormous feelings, so real and sincere." Most of the comments are filled with nostalgia and respect for El Taiger, with messages like: "They can't kill what never dies, your legacy will live on forever" or "He always spoke well of everyone, whether they were friends or enemies."
Many followers also called for justice: "Your departure was very quick and it hurt a lot, we won't rest until justice is served," commented a prominent fan. "He loved you, brother," added another user, while someone else reflected: "No one deserves to die like this, but those who do wrong end up wrong."
Others expressed the impact that El Taiger had on their lives: “It hurts me as if he were part of my family; I followed him in his interviews and live streams. He was a unique man,” wrote a fan affected by the news. “I still can’t believe what happened,” “Justice, justice, justice,” or “We will miss him forever” were some of the phrases repeated by his followers, sharing the grief with Jorge Junior.
El Taiger passed away on October 10 in Miami, after being in critical condition for a week due to a gunshot wound to the head. Since then, the news has deeply impacted the Cuban community and his followers. Jorge Junior has been sharing various memories of his cousin on his social media, including this interview.
The day after confirming the tragic news, he traveled to Miami to pay tribute in front of Jackson Memorial, where he was found severely injured. Additionally, he attended the intimate funeral, where colleagues, close friends, and family members, including two of El Taiger's daughters, said their goodbyes.
The legacy of El Taiger lives on, not only in his music but also in the words of admiration and love he left for his cousin Jorge Junior, who, despite the pain, has made it clear that the connection between them will not be broken.
