Cuban to Díaz-Canel: "You changed Cuba so much that we don't know what you have turned it into."

The Cuban resident abroad, Sergio Rodríguez, left strong criticisms of the ruler Miguel Díaz-Canel on social media. He accused him of having transformed Cuba so much that he has blurred the essence of the country.

Rodríguez's statements appear among the comments on a post by Díaz-Canel, where the leader rejects possible aid from the United States and asks the Biden Administration to lift the economic embargo on Cuba, with the hashtag #TumbaElBloqueo.

"What blockade? The blockade is you," Rodríguez said to the regime and went on to address Miguel Díaz-Canel directly, with harsh and emotional words.

"When you took the presidency, I, like many Cubans, felt that you would bring a radical change to the country. I felt a deep admiration and respect for you. You truly achieved it, and with ease. You changed Cuba so much that we no longer know what you have turned it into," Rodríguez expressed.

The Cuban claims that little by little, all the people who trusted in the supposed political change that the Díaz-Canel government would bring became disappointed. "That respect turned into the deepest and darkest contempt that a people can feel for a human being."

In his message, Rodríguez asks Díaz-Canel to acknowledge his mistakes and step aside from the government, so that mothers stop crying, and children stop suffering from hunger, sleep, and despair.

"Put your hand on your heart, leave your stubbornness and vain commitment to the Castros because in the end, you are just another cog in their Machiavellian machinery. When that cog goes bad, they will replace it with a new one and throw it in an old can. That will be your end. Be dignified with yourself, have the courage and bravery to let the people of Cuba decide their destiny," said the emigrant to the ruling leader.
