Camila Arteche has just achieved an important milestone; she has obtained American citizenship, a reason for a grand celebration.
On Instagram, the Cuban actress shared the news with her followers along with several photos from that crucial moment.
"I am officially an American citizen, even though I haven't been given a little flag. Thank you, United States, for giving me this privilege," the artist wrote in the post's description.
"I hadn't told anyone about the day of the interview, not even my mom, but this morning I wrote to her saying, 'light a candle because I have some matters to settle.' Here’s the video of when I called her to give her the surprise. I am so happy and grateful," she confessed.
"You are sitting," can be heard in the video as she asks her mom before delivering the news, completely surprising her.
This has been a year of great achievements for Camila Arteche, not only professionally; a few months ago, she also finalized the purchase of her first home in the United States.
