Laura Treto continues to enjoy the happiness of having reunited with her father, Jorge Treto, who recently arrived in Miami, sharing memorable and fun moments together with her followers on social media.
In a recent video about the "things a newly arrived Cuban doesn't understand," the actress and her father star in a funny sketch highlighting the cultural differences encountered by any newcomer, this time with the air conditioning taking center stage.
In the clip, Jorge sits in front of the thermostat while Laura tries to explain how air conditioning works in homes in the United States. “Here you turn this up and down, but there you adjust the temperature of the air conditioning,” Laura explains, but Jorge, confused, asks her, “Colder or warmer? And don’t you turn it off?”
That's where the debate begins. Laura explains that in Miami, the air conditioning never turns off: "The problem is that if I turn off the air, I end up using more electricity." But Jorge isn’t so easily convinced: "I don't regulate it, I don’t regulate it. No, I turn it off to save money. You're always complaining about the need to save. It gets turned off, period. You can use a ceiling fan or a table fan."
When Laura tries to reason with him, Jorge responds with a phrase that unleashed laughter from thousands: "But daughter, you grew up with a fan your whole life and nothing happened. Now that you're here, oh, now you want to start using the air conditioning at the expense of the electricity bill." He finishes with another gem: "I in Cuba spent six nights, seven nights with a fan and I didn't die."
Laura, laughing, insists, “Daddy, it doesn’t go on because when you turn it on, it uses more energy since it has to cool the whole house!” But Jorge stands his ground and concludes indignantly, “No, I don’t understand it, I just don’t get it anymore.”
The video has garnered hundreds of comments filled with humor and nostalgia. Some users shared similar experiences: “Explain to him that in winter it doesn't turn off either because the houses are made of cardboard,” commented one follower; “You should have included how many megawatts you consume daily,” wrote another. Others are already asking for a series based on these sketches: “This deserves a sequel, it's pure gold!”
This content not only showcases the acting talent of Jorge Treto, who has starred in videos alongside Laura since his arrival, but it also reflects the unique and humorous situations that Cubans face when emigrating. The Treto family humorously demonstrates how to turn small cultural clashes into unforgettable moments.
Let's remember that Jorge arrived in Miami just over a month ago, in a reunion filled with tears and hugs that Laura shared with her followers. Since then, father and daughter have taken social media by storm, showcasing their connection and experiences in this new phase together.
