According to her account, the cat was found at the intersection of 51st and 84th streets, where it had been in a vulnerable situation for several days, likely after being hit by a car.

"Rachy is in very serious condition. She has multiple traumas, infections in various parts of her body, swelling in her face, injuries to her tongue and mouth, and bleeding in her vulva," the woman wrote, explaining that she was treated immediately at the Vetpro clinic, where she received fluids and medical treatment, although the prognosis remains uncertain.

The protector also recounted the series of circumstances that made the rescue possible. Although the cat had been seen before, no one had stopped to help her.

She noted that it was due to the concern of neighbors, including children who watched Rachy with distress, that she decided to intervene.

He also mentioned the danger he faced while transporting the cat, rushing through the streets of Marianao and even overcoming a scare with his motorcycle to arrive on time.

"When she received the IV, she grabbed my finger with her paw. She's fighting to live," he recounted in a moving testimony that reflects both the cat's fragility and her will to survive.

Despite the difficulties, the shelter did not hesitate to cover the initial expenses of 2,320 pesos for the emergency treatment, expressing gratitude for the support from four individuals who made financial donations at that time.

In a later post, Bisbe updated the health status of Rachy, the rescued cat, sharing good news about her recovery.

“Today I went to the Happier veterinary clinic, near my house, for the last dose of oxytetracycline and vitamins. She will undergo surgery on both eyes tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. at the Vetpro clinic,” the caretaker explained, detailing the progress in Rachy’s treatment.

The cat, according to reports, was more active and could now walk, a significant change from the critical condition in which she was rescued.

However, she noted that Rachy still couldn't eat on her own or show interest in her food: "I continue to feed her with a syringe, using puree. I hope she gets better after the surgery," she remarked, conveying hope about the cat's recovery.
