Meanwhile, Helinzzon continues to fight for his life, reported on Facebook the activist Yankiel Fernández, leader of the solidarity project “Aliento de Vida.”
"The girl has just passed away, the boy remains in critical condition," Fernández reported with great sorrow on the ministry's profile. "I am devastated; you can't imagine the faith I had that a miracle would happen."
The activist urged continued support for the grieving family: “We remain hopeful, praying for a miracle for the child. Thank you all for the support; we continue to fight, even though we are heartbroken for the child. There is life, so there is hope.”
After the accident, "Aliento de Vida" led a humanitarian aid campaign to collect essential items, aiming to contribute to the recovery of the children and assist the family in coping with the challenging circumstances following the accident.
The mother of the little ones, Suelen Chacón, had requested help with food and sanitary supplies for her children.
“Aliento de Vida” requested disposable diapers, burn creams, wet wipes, juices, yogurt, gelatin, and any other resources that people can donate. The campaign continues to support the recovery of the surviving child.
