The cancellation of La Diosa at Enrique Santos' Pool Party continues to be a hot topic, and this time it was the promoters of Miami Vice who stepped forward to share their side of the story.

Rasiel Reyes and Ángel Sánchez, the CEOs of Miami Vice, along with their owner Nelson Martínez, granted an interview to Molusco TV where they reacted to the "controversies" involving Enrique Santos and La Diosa.

Molusco wanted to understand from the beginning how this controversy arose, and Rasiel started by explaining that it has all been "a misunderstanding" and that they have a lot of respect for Enrique Santos.

Regarding La Diosa, he added: “We have absolutely nothing against her, but she is someone whose music and image do not align with the concept of what we are selling today. It doesn’t match who we were seven years ago, or what we have created and built. In that space, we are doing what we know how to do; it is our concept.”

Miami Vice has been in charge of the pool parties at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Miami on Sundays for a month now. Initially, they were aware of the date Enrique Santos had for his party, but the owner of the nightclub told them that he would be bringing Lele Pons and Guaynaa, which they did not oppose.

In response to the questions that have arisen on social media, with some calling them anti-Cuban, they stated that in August they will feature Gente de Zona, and soon Lenier Mesa as well. In the past, Jacob Forever performed with Gente de Zona, and half of their clientele is Cuban.

The owners of Miami Vice stated that the decision not to allow La Diosa to perform is based on a matter of concept, and Molusco expressed concern that her presence there would be detrimental to them.

"Horrible, why would she hurt us? Because our clientele doesn't consume it. It's like you telling me I'm going to a hip-hop concert; I don't like hip-hop (...) It's not because she's bad, it's simply that what she sings is neither the message nor the type of music or genre that we create," Rasiel stated.

"I know what my clients buy; if my clients don't compare this product, then I can't sell it. This is a business to make money," he argued, also stating that none of them have any ties to the Cuban regime that would label them as communists, another criticism they have faced in recent days.

Rasiel also mentioned that they could take legal action against those who have defamed them by claiming they are involved in business with the Cuban regime and prostitution.

The cancellation of the Goddess of the Pool Party by Enrique Santos led him to suspend the event. The singer, on her part, reacted in tears, expressing that she was being censored, and also responded to those who criticize her for the lyrics of her songs.
