Cuban reggaeton artist Wow Popy traveled from Havana to Miami this Wednesday to kick off a tour across the United States.
The Cuban singer and his manager landed at the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport aboard the private jet of Miami Vice, alongside the owner of the Cuban promotion company, Nelson Martínez.
"We have just landed, okay," was the only thing Yerson Isbel, the real name of Wow Poppy, wrote on his Instagram along with a photo from the jet.
In his stories on that social media platform, the young urban music artist shared more images of his arrival.
In an interview with Cántalo TV after landing at the airport, the reggaeton artist said he is in Miami to embark on "a pretty intense tour" with the aim of making a significant impact on the stage.
When asked if he plans to stay in the United States, the singer did not confirm anything and only added that after the tour, “we’ll see what happens.”
“We’re rolling with Miami Vice, they’re the real deal,” said Wow Popy, and all indications suggest that he has teamed up with the Cuban promoters who recently found themselves in controversy with La Diosa for his upcoming performances.
So far, the singer has not revealed the dates of his tour or the locations where he will perform.
Wow Popy is one of the young representatives of the urban genre who is currently very popular in Cuba.
The reggaeton artist has collaborated with well-known figures in the genre such as Yomil Hidalgo, Jacob Forever, Chocolate MC, Divan, Los 4, as well as with emerging talents like Fixty Ordara and Ja Rulay, Wampi, among others.
