"What everyone was waiting for," stated the reggaeton artist Yerson Isbel, known professionally as Wow Popy, as he announced the 13 cities where he plans to perform during his upcoming tour in the United States, The Wow Tour 2023.
But the announcement was left unfinished. The young representative of the urban genre left his fans wanting to know more, as he did not reveal the concert dates.
"WOW POPY for the first time in the USA!! THE WOW TOUR 2023," he concluded in his brief message on Instagram, accompanied by a video promoting performances in the cities of Miami, Hollywood, West Palm, Naples, Tampa, and Orlando, in Florida, where the musical tour is expected to begin.
The tour also includes stops in Houston, Dallas, Austin, Arizona, Las Vegas, Kentucky, and New Jersey.
Raymel Pérez, manager of Wow Popy, also posted the announcement with a simple caption: "You all know the fever has begun!!!"
The bar for expectations remains high among Cuban fans of the urban genre residing in the U.S., in light of Wow Popy's imminent presence on the stages of that country.
This is evident from the dozens of comments on the shared post: “The best of the best… now the USA is really heating up,” “I think this one will truly go global with the GREAT CAST…,” “Guaranteed success, champion.” In addition to the good wishes, praises, and congratulations, there was a noticeable curiosity about when the tour will kick off and the dates for each city.
The Cuban artist arrived in the U.S. a week ago at the Miami-Opa Locka executive airport, where he landed in a private jet from the company Miami Vice, the same one recently embroiled in a controversy involving the singer La Diosa and presenter Enrique Santos.
In his first interview with the program Cántalo TV, he stated that he would embark on "a quite intense tour" aimed at "making a breakthrough" on stage, and everything suggests that he is close to realizing his wishes.
Wow, Popy is highly popular in Cuba right now and has collaborated with well-known artists in the genre such as Yomil Hidalgo, Jacob Forever, Chocolate MC, Divan, as well as emerging figures like Fixty Ordara, Ja Rulay, and Wampi.
