Santero involved in shooting in Miami celebrates in Cuba with Sandro Castro

The Cuban santero Santiago Rivero Morales, involved in a shooting reported in Miami on August 30, celebrated his birthday in Cuba with Sandro Castro, who considered him "a good friend."

It occurred between two groups of men who were heading to their cars parked nearby, according to local media that had access to the police record.

On that occasion the police arrested Omar Iglesias Valdés and reported that they were looking for two alleged suspects: the babalawo Santiago Rivero Morales and Yosmani Rodríguez Granados.

One of those involved, Manuel Barrios, told detectives that he was going to his car – a yellow Lamborghini – when Omar Iglesias Valdés threatened him with a knife.

According to his version, Iglesias Valdés' friend,Rivero Morales, 33 years old, went to a parked Mercedes-Benz, grabbed a gun and shot him and his friend, Lázaro Guzmán Bango.

Barrios said that was when Lázaro also pulled out a gun and shotRivero Morales and the two ran away.

Rivero Morales, Iglesias Valdés, 35, and Rodríguez Granados, 22, began to chase them, so Guzmán Bango shot the trio.
