“I have been traveling between Santiago de Cuba and Havana for more than 10 years, and I swear I can't take it anymore,” lamented Hernández, who said he covers that journey every month.
“Whoever can help me buy a house or apartment here in Havana would be closer and would prevent me from coming so often,” the lady pleaded because traveling is quite inaccessible nowadays, in the midst ofthe crisis and economic inflation.
This woman's unfortunate journey began with a perforation of the bladder and vagina, while she was a patient at the Conrado Benítez García Oncological Hospital in Santiago de Cuba, 24 years ago.
“As a result of that surgery, they performed more than seven on me looking for improvement until they decided to send me to the capital because there was nothing more to do,” said the woman.
He said that in Havana he had undergone more than 15 interventions until the doctors gave him a choice between three options: “Remain like this with grade three urinary incontinence, have my bladder done again, or have acystotomywith other variants. Cystotomy is a medical procedure in which an artificial opening is created in the bladder through the abdominal wall to drain urine directly out of the body.

“At this moment I am hospitalized for an upcoming surgery plus another pending hernia,” the woman stressed.
