The renowned Cuban actor Jorge Alí will be filming the movie "Calle 232" on the island, written and directed by Rudy Mora.
Just a few days ago, the news was about the visit to Cuba of the artist who resides in Miami, and one of the reasons for his trip is precisely to participate in this filming.
According to the website Cubaactores, filming for the movie will start on May 20th in various locations in Havana.
In addition to Jorge Alí, the cast of this film includes Isabel Santos, Luis Ángel Batista, Chavely Díaz, Laura Moras, Yudexi de la Torre, Reytel Oro, and Andrea Doimeadiós.
Calle 232 is a fictional feature film about caregivers inspired by real events, a topic of great interest in Cuban society, where the rates of population aging are increasingly high.
In a publication, Cubaactores added that the movie "will tell the story of a renowned film director who, after suffering from an illness that limits his mental abilities, finds himself abandoned by colleagues and friends. However, unexpectedly, he finds support from one of his tenants, leading to the birth of a beautiful friendship that emerges as the heart of this film."
The film, produced by ICAIC and DMM FILM, will have Adriana Moya in the production, Juan Carlos Rivero in charge of the music, Alexander Escobar in the photography, and Octavio Crespo in the editing.
