"It's a shame that women attack each other so much": Laura Treto responds to criticisms following her plastic surgery.

People should be happy and free to make decisions they wish with their own bodies.

After informing through social media that she had undergone cosmetic surgery and showing a bit of her recovery, Laura Treto addressed some negative comments she has received on social media.

Although, after referring to the decision she had made and assuring that she would show the before and after later, she has received mostly messages of congratulations, applause for having decided what she considers was best for her and her happiness, and wishes for a speedy recovery. She has also received criticisms and questions, one of which alluded sarcastically to her voice, to which she wanted to respond directly and publicly.

"It's a shame that women attack each other so much like this; it's not men, it's women against other women for no reason, what... I don't understand but well; in my life, in my life I would never write something like that to someone, in my life that would never happen, something extremely disrespectful, unnecessary, but well anyway I am going to respond," she said through the stories before reacting to the comment that criticized her for having an affected voice after the intervention.

When they give you general anesthesia, they intubate you and that affects your vocal cords. My voice may not be the same as before right now because I am still a little affected. On the first day, I was completely... my voice cracked a lot, I couldn't speak, completely affected because they were affected by the anesthesia, and in addition to that, the fatigue that comes with this whole recovery process; right now, I have a tremendous headache, obviously, I cannot be like I had a Red Bull on top, obviously I will have a lack of energy," she said slowly before sharing other videos clarifying details of the process to people who had shown interest.

One day earlier, after her post announcing the news, in response to a comment lamenting that many actresses not only resorted to surgery but also promoted it without considering the impact it could have on the self-esteem of other women, Laura Treto also responded with her perspective and advice.

I personally believe that everyone has the right to be happy; there are many women with low self-esteem simply due to genetic makeup, and that is so private that only one knows when looking in the mirror. I don't think it's fair to live like that either. There are many types of surgeries and many options according to each person's tastes, yes, it's a risk, that's life. That's why my advice is to gather a lot of information and go to the best professionals if they want to take that step, but people should be happy and free to make the decisions they want with their own body," she said in the comments on her post.

Apart from these reactions, the actress is recovering satisfactorily from the procedure, a "lipo fat transfer" (liposculpture with fat transfer), with the support of her mother and the love of her young daughter Havana, "her best nurse," as she also showed in the stories alongside a video where the girl's affection is evident.
