The graduate in painting from the San Alejandro Academy of Fine Arts stood out for his mastery in over a hundred productions of various genres and formats, including monologue, opera, and musical theater.

Together with his brother Nicolás, he starred in essential moments of Cuban performing arts. His work at the National Dramatic Ensemble was crucial in his career," exalted the UNEAC.

His journey in this art form began as an actor at University Theater, where he played the character of The Auctioneer in The Plague Comes from Melos, a text by the Argentine playwright Osvaldo Dragún, and continued with the establishment of the collective The Thirteen Ensemble, although it did not have a long existence.

Additionally, he extended his work to production centers and military units, where he staged scenes from "The Respectful Prostitute" by Jean Paul Sartre, and presented the shows "La Jaula," "Mamuchi y Papuchi," and "Teatro para las trincheras."

Under his guidance, theater pieces by René Fernández, José Triana, Rolando Ferrer, Jesús Gregorio Fernández, Virgilio Piñera, Abelardo Estorino, Alberto Pedro Torriente, and his brother Nicolás Dorr saw the light on stage, highlighted the National Council of Performing Arts, while extending their condolences to family and friends.
