The current economic crisis affecting Cubans, along with the difficulties in accessing cooking methods, has forced people to desperately seek survival alternatives, creating an ideal environment for businesses such as the sale of charcoal stoves to thrive.
This is demonstrated by an entrepreneur in the province of Ciego de Ávila, who has achieved remarkable success in selling this type of equipment, evidenced by the high demand for his product.
CY Escobar Pineiro shared in the Revolico Morón group on Facebook that charcoal stoves were once again available for sale.
"Don't miss out on yours," said this person promoting the product at a price of 1,500 pesos.
"Well-made charcoal stoves. Just be aware, they are not tall," he noted.
What is interesting about the announcement is that, in the comments section, most internet users expressed a strong interest in acquiring the useful cooking tool, highlighting the concern among citizens regarding a vital issue: the cooking of food.
Fear doesn't arise spontaneously. The intensification of the economic crisis in Cuba became evident with the announcement by the government of Santiago de Cuba regarding the sale of coal for cooking through the supply booklet.
The authorities in the eastern province explained that selling coal to the population was an "alternative in light of the energy deficit and the fuel situation" in the country.
The governor of the province, Manuel Falcón Hernández, explained in a meeting with local deputies that the measure was one of the government decisions aimed at alleviating the discontent of the population, which continues to suffer from blackouts.
