A violent fight occurred on Saturday night at a street party in Santiago de Cuba, where several people were reportedly injured.
The independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada shared photos of the event on his Facebook profile.
Violence continues in the streets of the city, apparently two young people with serious injuries were taken to the Joaquín Castillo Duany Military Hospital," said Mayeta.
A source from the hospital informed him that one of the victims had to be taken to the operating room.
The other injured person may have died, but this has not been confirmed.
The wounds were inflicted with a weapon. According to the reporter, one of the young men was lying in the street bleeding after being stabbed in the back.
"The blood clot seen on the road was where he lay until he was rescued and taken to the nearest hospital," he explained.
Dozens of people lamented the incident, which has been happening all too often in the city, and where the protagonists are usually very young.
This week, a young man was murdered at a party in Holguín, adding to the unstoppable wave of violence that plagues the country.
It happened during a recreational activity at the social club in the Monte Feria neighborhood, in the Antilla municipality.
Days earlier, a massive fight broke out at a festive event at Finca de los Monos in Havana, from which the regime tried to distance itself by stating that it was not authorized, even though it was promoted by state television.
On that occasion, although fortunately there were no fatalities, six people were injured. The videos of the violent brawl were shared on the Internet, where it could be seen that those involved were all very young and showed a violent attitude and total disregard for the lives of others.
