A Cuban man was arrested in Hialeah for unlawfully entering his ex-girlfriend's home, where he assaulted her and damaged several belongings.

The events took place on Sunday night. Maikel Bauza-Torres, 38, arrived at the apartment of the woman who had been his partner for four years. He entered without permission and slapped her on the cheek.

Later, he threw several objects on the floor, broke some decorations, and left, not before grabbing a speaker that they had both bought together.

After receiving the report, the police investigated and found that Bauza-Torres had a restraining order requested by the victim.

The Cuban was arrested by the police on Wednesday night at 561 East 25th Street in Hialeah. According to the arrest warrant, he resisted arrest. Once at the station, he chose not to make a statement.

On Thursday, he appeared in court, where he was charged with three offenses: armed robbery, aggravated stalking, and resisting arrest.

América TeVe shared a video of the appearance.

Judge Mindy S. Glazer issued another restraining order and several restrictions, denying him the right to bail, which means he remains in preventive custody.
