Sandro Castro's post unleashes criticism from Cubans: "Living off communism"

"Enjoy it, that's why your grandfather sacrificed an entire town," said a Cuban ironically to the grandson of the late Fidel Castro.

Sandro Castro, grandson of the late dictator Fidel Castro, continues to show off his life of luxury on social media, where he posts photos in which he appears with a relaxed and carefree attitude, at a time when the majority of his countrymen are going through a life of hardship.

On this occasion, he shared an image taken in a bucolic setting, sitting on a spacious sofa surrounded by plants, with a drink and a cell phone on the table, while he looks challengingly at the camera.

The publication has generated a multitude of criticisms from outraged Cubans due to the brazenness of the young man, who doesn't hesitate to flaunt his luxurious lifestyle, so far removed from the daily struggles that afflict the people.

What a show-off face, while the real people are truly in need. And even small and medium-sized businesses are closing because the owners are getting rich hahaha, and he's just living the life," one commented.

Don't criticize him anymore, poor thing, look at how badly dressed he is, without shoes. Oh, and just so you know, he is having lunch and a snack while working in the field under the hot summer sun," another person joked.

"Enjoy, that's why your grandfather sacrificed a whole town," a third person pointed out.

Several people asked mockingly if they turn off the electricity at his house or if it leaks when it rains.

"I would like to see a photo of you in some marginalized neighborhood of Havana, taking food to one of those children who have so much hunger and misery, that most of the time they have nothing to eat. Think about it, it would be a very nice gesture on your part, I know you can't fix everything on your own, but it starts little by little and if you keep doing it, it will become a habit. How much we need people like you to help with something," suggested the internet user identified as the daughter of the king, seriously.

"What a life he and his family lead, while thousands of Cubans are in extreme poverty. Down with the Castros," another one said.

Last September, Sandro leaked photos of himself at a party drinking beer and smoking a cigar at EFE bar located in El Vedado neighborhood.

The young entrepreneur is the owner of that private business, where he openly assures that there is "an environment to have a great time."

On September 11th, Sandro and his girlfriend, Laura Daniela Álvarez, were also caught in the act while they were enjoying themselves at El Laurel in Havana, an expensive restaurant located on Santa Fe beach.

Not long ago, Fidel's grandson sparked outrage on social media when he showed the food his cat eats, since the animal eats better than thousands of children in Cuba.

In October 2022, he came under criticism after sharing photos in the midst of a general blackout in Cuba, in which he was seen celebrating with his partner in the backyard of a mansion with a pool, pink flamingos, and lush vegetation.

A property similar to the luxurious residences in the Havana neighborhood of Siboney, where the diplomatic corps and the highest leaders of the regime live.
