Martha, the Cuban grandmother who has gone viral on social media, never ceases to amaze, and even though it is her "grandson" Ariel Ramos Perdomo who emigrated to the United States, she is not willing to be left behind, especially when it comes to speaking English.
In a video call with Ariel, he talked to Martha about the 4th of July, Independence Day in the United States, and even sang her a few lines of the national anthem of that country.
"Martica, I was born and raised here in the United States, and I have been here for a month now. I already know how to speak English and everything," he says very confidently.
Ariel told Martha a few sentences in English, and without hesitation, she began to repeat them as if they were really having a conversation in that language.
"Our thing is English, Martha," Ariel assures her with a laugh, and although Martha's English is far from perfect, they had a very fun moment that made their followers laugh.
The conversation between them, sometimes interrupted by the poor connection in Cuba, continued and of course they took the opportunity to catch up on a few neighborhood gossips.
