Dany Ome recovers: "Look for a new nickname because I won't be chubby anymore."

The reggaeton artist underwent a gastric balloon procedure and stated that he did it for health reasons as well as for his image.

Dany Ome underwent a gastric balloon procedure this Tuesday, a treatment for obesity that leads to a significant weight reduction in a short amount of time.

Through Instagram, the Cuban reggaeton artist kept his followers informed about the whole process, and after leaving the hospital, he thanked everyone for being attentive to his health condition.

"Look for a new nickname because I won't be chubby anymore. I love being chubby; I did it for my health," the singer stated in the caption of his post on that social network.

Still feeling some effects of the anesthesia, Dany Ome said that he was feeling fine and explained that he underwent this procedure for both health and image reasons.

The gastric balloon is a technique that consists of inserting a silicone balloon, filled with a saline solution, into the stomach endoscopically without the need for surgery, in order to limit the stomach capacity and help patients change their eating habits and lifestyles.
