With the aim of achieving an immediate impact given his reputation in amateur and professional boxing, Cuban Yunieski González is preparing for his debut in bare-knuckle fighting backed by one of the leading companies in this combat sports discipline.

Although it still does not have a date to "break the ice," "The Monster," as he is known, signed with BYB Extreme Fighting Series, the company that created the discipline and the most important organizer in the world, according to Mundo Deportivo.

"The agreement with González is indicative of BYB's emphasis on signing fighters who are at the top of their sport, but who are also primarily committed to our vision of growing the sport," stated the company's CEO, Gregory Bloom, as quoted by the Spanish media.

Likewise, Bloom emphasized that "we have the deepest and most talented roster in bare-knuckle fights, we match the most competitive fights in the sport, and we keep the fighters active throughout the year."

And it is no small matter, the promoter has in its ranks the also Cuban Gustavo Trujillo, heavyweight world champion of BYB and holder of the Diamond world belt from the Police Gazette.

Regarding the contract and his sporting future, González stated: “I am a very aggressive fighter with a lot of power in my punches. In that sense, I feel that my style goes hand in hand with bare-knuckle fights to the point where I feel that this sport was made for me and my left hook."
