The mother of a young man, Eduardo Javier Mendoza, 20 years old and missing in Mayabeque for a week, pleaded on social media this Monday for any information about his whereabouts. The young man, who suffers from schizophrenia, may be in crisis, and she urgently requested that he not be mistreated.
"He is kind and affectionate. Please don't mistreat him because he is in crisis without medication," Marlenis Yilian pleaded in the Facebook group “Cuba Debate.”
"I beg you, help me find my boy," implored the mother of the child who has been missing since July 16. She also indicated that they are from Melena del Sur, Mayabeque, and that he was last seen on the San Rafael boulevard in Havana.
The desperate mother mentioned that her son, who is also bipolar, has attempted suicide in the past: “I’m worried that something worse may happen, as he has already threatened his life before.”
In his post, he shared some information to help identify the young man, known as Ruru. He has a tattoo on his left forearm featuring a crown and his mother's name, Marlenis.
Haylen Mendoza, the older sister of the missing young man, sought help on social media last Sunday to find her brother.
He indicated that the young man is over 1.80 meters tall, suffers from schizophrenia, and fled his home after experiencing a crisis.
According to Haylen's post, the last time Eduardo was seen, he was at the beach in Mayabeque. The family is extremely worried about his well-being, as he does not have his medication and his condition could severely worsen.

The family of Dainerys Díaz Rodríguez, who has been missing since July 18, is desperate and seeking help to locate the young woman, who suffers from several mental health disorders.
Family members' posts on social media indicated that Díaz, 27, a resident of Guanabo, suffers from bipolar disorder and other related illnesses, which require him to be on medication.
Also in Havana, a young motorcyclist has been missing from home since Sunday, and his family has requested help to locate him.
According to his relatives, who reported to the independent portal CubaNet, he was going to provide a motorcycle taxi service at midnight, and after that, he was never heard from again.
Manuel de Jesús Dela Ramos, 28 years old, was last seen that day at 2:00 a.m. near Calzada de 10 de Octubre in Havana.
