The activist Ander Wanton Roca, leader of the project Compartiendo Corazones, requested the assistance of doctors, nurses, and other health personnel to conduct a survey of individuals suffering from chronic illnesses in several rural areas of the province of Santiago de Cuba.
Wanton announced on Facebook that they intend to conduct this diagnostic census specifically in the rural communities of Tártaro and La Nita, both of which are part of the Songo-La Maya municipality.
The activist emphasized that he needs people willing to accompany him to the mountains to carry out the census when they are notified. He added that the idea is to "start addressing these diseases" after completing the diagnosis.
Wanton took the opportunity to express gratitude to those who sent money, enabling the purchase of diapers, and to all who support the missions he carries out in the rugged terrain of Santiago de Cuba, where many issues are overlooked by the regime.
In recent days, this very activist brought first aid and medical kits to remote areas of the province.
In addition, Wanton and the project he leads, together with the Aliento de Vida initiative, distributed clothing and other resources to people living in extreme poverty in the rural areas of Santiago de Cuba.
Yankiel Fernández, coordinator of the Humanitarian Project Breath of Life, shared on Facebook the moment when people living in towns of the Sierra Maestra and other remote areas of the province of Santiago de Cuba benefit from the donations.
