Aly Sánchez dazzled on the red carpet of Premios Juventud with a very daring dress, in line with the theme of the event, designed by a fellow countryman, the Cuban designer Lázaro Morejón.
The short dress, featuring transparencies and sparkly details throughout the garment, led Aly to set aside sobriety and opt for something more revealing.
"The theme of this year's Premios Juventud was 'Dare to More', and I undoubtedly did with this look from a Cuban designer who worked very hard to have it ready. I had never dared to wear transparencies, shine, and exposed arms, too much for one day! But it was all worth it for the pride of wearing creations from a countryman. From Cuba to the world, Lázaro Morejón," the actress wrote on her Instagram.
The designer expressed his gratitude in his stories on that social media platform for the choice and trust of the Univisión presenter: “I want to sincerely thank Aly Sánchez for wearing my design at the Premios Juventud. Your trust in my work means everything to me.”
Aly was not only bold in wearing this dress, but she also opted for a radical change in her look and cut her hair to shoulder length for the occasion.
Lázaro Morejón was born in Cuba, but he has developed his career in the fashion world in Miami and defines himself as “a visionary fashion designer with a passion for pushing boundaries and redefining style. With a keen eye for details and a creative spirit."
