Mawell dedicates recognition to Cubans: "The distribution has its first international Latin award."

Mawell wins the award for Best New Artist in Colombia, dedicating it to his Cubans and celebrating with his family.

Mawell is celebrating! The Cuban singer has been recognized as 'Best New Artist of the Year' at the Monitor Awards in Colombia. An award he personally received, the performer of "La Triple M" shared the great news on his social media, where he dedicated his award to Cubans.

"Dedicated to my Cubans. Thanks to Colombia and the world, the distribution has already received its first international Latin award," the young man began expressing after sharing the moment he received this recognition. "This award is for my wife, who has always been looking out for me. To my three children, my mom, my godfather, and my entire family. Dreams come true. Worldwide," he added.

The singer's wife commented that this award was a great surprise for them. "I will never forget that moment when they said Mawell and we looked at each other as if to say what. May this award just be the beginning," celebrated the singer's partner, who couldn't be prouder of Mawell's achievement.

The recognition was awarded by the Monitor awards, consolidating Mawell as an emerging figure in the Latin American music scene. The ceremony, also held in Medellín, was attended by Cuban artists Ovi and Lenier Mesa.
