Accident in Santiago de Cuba: Tour car hits electric motor and assists victim.

Eyewitnesses reported that the car driver was responsible for the accident, and although he assisted one of the victims, he lied to the police.

An electric motor was struck by a tourist car on the night of this Tuesday at the intersection of Victoriano Garzón Avenue and Second Street in the city of Santiago de Cuba.

The journalist Yosmany Mayeta reported on Facebook that, although the person responsible for the incident is unknown, witnesses suggest that the modern car was driving against traffic.

This detail is pending confirmation with witnesses present at the location, the communicator indicated.

Additionally, he explained that the driver of the car was the one who assisted the passenger riding the motorcycle, “but upon returning to the crash area, they say they started lying to the police,” he indicated.

On the other hand, the driver of the electric motor suffered minor injuries to the arms and legs, according to confirmed sources.

Another accident occurred this Tuesday in Havana when a "almendrón" lost its brakes and crashed into a motorcycle.

A serious accident occurred this Monday on Loma Las Marianas, in the Guantanamo municipality of San Antonio del Sur, leaving 23 people injured, including five children, according to reports.

The incident involved a tractor that was transporting all the personnel on the vehicle. The accident victims have various injuries classified under different codes, reported journalist Miguel Reyes on Facebook.

Subsequent information reported that the Cuban René Matos Urgellés passed away this Tuesday in Guantánamo, due to the injuries he sustained in the tragic accident that occurred in Loma de Mariana.
