Accident in Santiago de Cuba: Tourist vehicle collides with electric scooter and assists the victim

Eyewitnesses reported that the driver of the car was responsible for the accident, and although he helped one of the victims, he lied to the police.

An electric motor was struck by a passenger car on the night of this Tuesday at the intersection of Victoriano Garzón Avenue and Second Street in the city of Santiago de Cuba.

Journalist Yosmany Mayeta reported on Facebook that, although the person responsible for the incident remains unknown, witnesses suggest that the modern car was driving against traffic.

This detail is pending confirmation from witnesses present at the scene, the spokesperson indicated.

He also explained that the driver of the car was the one who assisted the passenger on the motorcycle, "but upon returning to the accident scene, they claim that they started lying to the police," he noted.

On the other hand, the driver of the electric motor sustained minor injuries to his arms and legs, according to confirmed sources.

Another accident occurred this Tuesday in Havana when a classic car lost its brakes and collided with a motorcycle.

A serious accident occurred this Monday on Loma Las Marianas in the Guantanamo municipality of San Antonio del Sur, leaving 23 people injured, including five children, according to reports.

The accident involved a tractor that was carrying the entire staff on the vehicle. The victims of the incident have various injuries classified under different codes, reported journalist Miguel Reyes on Facebook.
