The humanitarian project "Breath of Life" reported on Wednesday that, thanks to the generosity of individuals in the United States, it continues to provide humanitarian aid to families of children and adolescents with cerebral palsy.

Yankiel Fernández, the leader of the initiative, announced on Facebook that over the weekend they delivered some donations to children and teenagers with cerebral palsy, "thanks to our wonderful team from the U.S.," he noted.

The activist shared some photos that showcase the delivery of humanitarian aid along with a heartfelt message: "The joy of knowing that we were able to provide help is not about whether it is large or small, as in times of need, all assistance is welcomed."

Fernández expressed gratitude to those who have made it possible “to reach our little angels with cerebral palsy.”

Finally, he expressed: “Love should be shown more through actions than words,” and in his case, with the initiative “Aliento de Vida,” he has been helping the families of these children and young people for some time now.

Last July, Fernández requested financial assistance to continue his program for the care of children and young people with cerebral palsy, an initiative he started four years ago.

The activist and project leader explained on Facebook that they are currently assisting 12 children, but announced that "we will soon be supporting 15 in Havana, and 20 in Pinar del Río."

The work of this project and its leader is of great importance in the current Cuban landscape, where the regime is capable of leaving a teenager with cerebral palsy in Las Tunas without milk.

The incident, which took place in 2023, was reported by the Cuban Observatory of Human Rights, which shared a video on its social media depicting the case.
