The boyfriend of Cuban influencer Samantha Espineira, Alessandro Piga, has been arrested on federal charges of conspiracy to commit bank fraud. The 32-year-old Italian was detained on July 27 and is currently at the Federal Detention Center in Miami awaiting his trial.

This scandal surprised the couple's followers, who were used to seeing Piga showcase a luxurious lifestyle on social media.

Alessandro Piga had become well-known on social media for boasting about his success as a businessman with the Royal Trucking Automation business, showcasing exotic trips and luxury cars.

This year, Alessandro Piga gifted the Cuban influencer, who has one million followers, a luxurious car for Valentine's Day. A gesture that Samantha Espineira eagerly shared on Instagram. Shortly after, the couple announced the purchase of their first home. Now, the arrest of the Italian has cast doubt on the authenticity of their success.

After the arrest, Samantha Espineira expressed her surprise and discontent at the criticism, defending her relationship and asking her followers not to judge without knowing all the details. "If you don't know other people's lives, it's better not to say anything and look in the mirror because that's where you should look first before judging and giving your opinion," said the young woman, who showed her support for Piga with a photo of them together on her wall.
