On May 4, the U.S. published the results of the Diversity Visa Program (DV-2025) for the fiscal year (DV-2025) and confirmed that it would provide 55,000 slots for permanent residency to applicants from eligible countries, including Cuba.
This lottery is a straightforward path to permanent legal residency in the country and facilitates the acquisition of citizenship.
Individuals selected in the Diversity Visa Lottery (DV) must meet certain requirements to register, including:
- Being a citizen of a country with a low immigration rate to the US.
- Have 12 years of primary and secondary education or its equivalent.
- To have at least two years of completed work experience within the last five years in an eligible occupation.
- Check the list of eligible countries selected by the Department of State to access the program.
