A teenager identified as Yenifer Gómez was stabbed this Tuesday by her ex-boyfriend in the house where she lived with her grandmother, in the Nuevo Vista Alegre neighborhood, in Santiago de Cuba.
Neighbors reported that the teenager suffered injuries in several parts of her body, according to journalist Yosmany Mayeta on Facebook.

The alleged aggressor, identified as Flavio Lamar, is being hidden by relatives with connections to the police, according to the journalist.
The minor was urgently taken to the Frank País clinic, where they managed to stabilize her. Twenty minutes later, an ambulance transported her to the Dr. Antonio María Béguez César Pediatric Hospital, known as La Colonia.
"She arrived here in labor, but we were able to get her out and now she is being operated on. Her health is very delicate," reported a worker from the children's hospital to journalist Mayeta.
The communicator emphasized that the victim is in the intensive care unit, as it has not been possible to operate on her yet, "she has a tension pneumothorax, a head injury affecting one ear."
In addition, he reported that the teenager is being treated by intensivists, otolaryngologists, neurosurgeons, and surgeons: "She is already intubated and connected to the ventilator, currently in cardiac arrest and unstable. She has 3 grams of hemoglobin. She is being transfused," he stated.
According to the journalist, a patrol car remains stationed outside the Children's Hospital, waiting to apprehend the young attacker, who is still at large.
"I continue to seek details on this regrettable event," Mayeta stated.
Recently, a 28-year-old man, identified as Raciel Palacios and residing in the Reparto Altamira of Santiago de Cuba, was stabbed near a bus stop in that area.
Mayeta reported on Facebook that Palacios, who is the father of a young girl, was rushed to Joaquín Castillo Duany Military Hospital with serious injuries.
In last July, a young woman from Santiago de Cuba who was stabbed by her partner had to undergo emergency surgery for the second time.
The victim, named Ana Keilan Portillo, underwent surgery at the Saturnino Lora Provincial Hospital, where she is currently hospitalized.
"Ana Keilan is reported to be in serious condition but is evolving satisfactorily after this new surgical intervention," it specified on Facebook.
The Cuban regime has acknowledged the increase in crime on the island, which previously portrayed itself as a safe country.
