Cuban actress Lili Santiesteban arrived in the United States this Monday with her son, where she was able to reunite with her husband, the singer Antonio Luis González, better known as Tonny Luis.
"Today is my birthday and it is one of the happiest days of my life, but that is not the only thing I celebrate; I celebrate the blessing that God has given me to reach the end of this journey, to be with my husband. God, thank you! Thank you, God! Blessed with my family..." Lili wrote on Instagram, along with emotional images of the reunion.
"I still don't have many words, just to thank... Only God knows how long we were apart and how much we fought for our love. I love you, @tonnylnycm. We made it!" she added.
In the comments section of the Instagram post, numerous Cuban artists celebrated the reunion.
Lily Bergues, Maikel Amelia, Miriam Alameda, Rebeca Martínez, Nasiry Lugo, Laritza Bacallao, Claudia Muma, Haila María Mompié, among others, expressed great happiness with the news.
Originally from Holguín, she is remembered among other things for her participation in the telenovelas Tan lejos tan cerca, El Rostro de los Días, Historias de Fuego, and Latidos compartidos.
Lili Santiesteban and her husband had apparently not seen each other since May, when he visited the island and they shared beautiful images with their son Lucas.
In recent years, a growing number of Cuban actors and comedians have left the country to settle in both the United States and Spain or other international destinations.
Lily Bergues, Danae Hernández, and Yia Caamaño are just three examples of other actresses who have moved to Florida.
