A Cuban woman offered a reward of 100 dollars this Wednesday to anyone who returns her purse, which was stolen while she was attending the Virgen del Camino fair in Havana.
Daleidys Díaz explained on Facebook that her friend, the victim of the robbery, had her mobile phone and personal documents in her bag, including the identity cards for both herself and her son.
What concerns the affected person the most is the loss of her son's photos stored on the phone, which is why she is appealing to the solidarity of anyone who has the device to return it.
According to the publication, those who have information or have the stolen bag can contact her at the number 53 52930143.
The Cuban government acknowledged last June the concerning rise in criminal violence on the island, including the use of firearms.
The first colonel Eddy Sierra Arias, head of the General Directorate of the Revolutionary National Police, stated on the program Mesa Redonda that the deterioration of certain ethical values is contributing to the increase in criminal activity in the country.
"The fundamental manifestations, although they are not the only ones, are acts against property, thefts in homes, incidents related to the removal of cell phones, motorbikes, and belongings in general of the affected population," explained Sierra Arias.
Even Cuban ruler Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez confirmed in July the increase in violence, crime, and addictions in the country, in the context of what he called an "adverse socioeconomic scenario."
During the closing speech of the third session of the National Assembly in its tenth legislature, the leader highlighted that the ongoing action of the Ministry of the Interior (Minint) and the justice authorities, in close connection with the people, has made it possible to discover, prevent, and confront multiple criminal types and trends in recent years.
At the beginning of the month, four men broke into a house in Cárdenas, Matanzas, at night and took everything they could.
The incident occurred recently in a house located on Salva Street, between Calzada and Coronel Verdugo.
A Cuban woman reported on her social media this Wednesday about the assault her mother, a 70-year-old elderly woman, suffered on a street in Matanzas.
According to Evelyn Rodríguez Rojas' revelation on Facebook, the incident occurred in Santa Marta, in the municipality of Cárdenas, in the morning, around 10:00 am.
