"Respuesta," the diss track by Tekashi 6ix9ine and Lenier Mesa aimed at Yailin La Más Viral, has become a topic of debate, and the rapper publicly stated that the Cuban was the one who wrote the lyrics of the song using his ideas.
After the premiere, Tekashi and Lenier were on the show "El Gordo y La Flaca," and there this topic came to light that has revolutionized social media.
When the host Lili Estefan tells Tekashi that the song is causing a lot of talk, he responds by pointing to Lenier: "He wrote it, really."
Amid laughter, the Cuban singer and composer tells Tekashi, "people already know you," and the rapper clarifies that he gave Lenier the idea to write this diss track.
"When this comes out in the Dominican Republic, what will happen?" Lili asks Lenier in a live session: "Dominicans love me for my good music and the good lyrics of my songs."
Lenier took the opportunity to emphasize that this is just about writing music: "When they were together, I wrote the prettiest songs for Yailin, and I don't get involved in anyone's relationships nor do I like negative things, I just make music. If he asks me to make a song, I will make it for him, whatever song it is."
"This song is going to give Yailin more fame, she better be ready because she's going trending," assures Lenier very convinced.
Controversy and criticism aside, the truth is that "Respuesta," just one day after its premiere, already has over three million views on YouTube.
