Cuban in the U.S. after a bad experience with newcomers: "I’m not going to host anyone else in my house"

His testimony has provoked intense debate in the comments.

The content creator @kurly_la_peque decided to share a personal experience on social media with newly arrived immigrants in the United States, which has generated intense debate among her followers.

In the video, the young woman who lives in Kentucky talked about the difficulty of helping acquaintances who recently arrived in the United States, who, according to her testimony, did not show gratitude after receiving help in critical moments.

"If you are new to the United States or are on your way here, do not call me, do not write to me, and do not ask me if you can come to my house because I will not welcome you," he declared firmly, explaining that after having received several people, he had negative experiences that he does not wish to repeat. "Do not write to me asking for a favor or asking me to lend you money because I will not lend it to you," he added in his video where he explained the reasons for making such a firm decision.

@kurly_la_peque recounted a recent experience in which she hosted a friend of her husband who arrived from Bolivia. Although everything seemed to be going well at first, over time the relationship deteriorated due to a lack of support and collaboration from the guests.

This type of statement has generated a wave of reactions on the platform, where other users supported their decision by sharing similar experiences: "I don't want anyone in my house, I'm very sorry, neither positive nor negative, but simply no"; "It's better not to receive anyone"; "That's right, they end up biting the hand of the one who feeds them, but up there there is a God who knows the reality"; "It's true, I went through the same thing"; "What you say is very true"; "You are absolutely right, and the nicest thing of all is that in the end, one is the bad guy."

However, there were critical voices: "I follow you and admire you, but that's tough"; "If you do things, do them from the heart, never expect to be paid back as you give because not everyone is the same"; "It's not necessary to publish that type of video, simply don't accept anyone and if they ask for help in private, that's it, why all the drama"; "Everyone talks about the newcomer, of course, he has to be submissive so he doesn't seem ungrateful"; "I no longer trust anyone, some things have happened to him," others stated.

The video has sparked a strong debate on the issue of support among newly arrived immigrants in the United States, especially within the Latino community. While some emphasize the importance of selfless help, others have expressed their frustration over the lack of reciprocity and gratitude.

This type of content is not new on TikTok, where topics related to migration and the difficulties faced by newcomers to the United States often spark extensive discussions, both from the island and from the Cuban community in the United States.
