In recent months, reports of missing elderly people on the island have emerged.

Recently, Cubans on social media asked for help in locating the relatives of an elderly man who was wandering the streets of Bauta.

Many of them have been left alone amid the Cuban migration crisis, while others are victims of violence or lack medication to treat chronic conditions.
