The Cuban singer and activist Yotuel Romero publicly expressed his wish for the remains of the reggaeton artist José Manuel Carbajal, known as El Taiger, to be honored in Cuba where all of his family is.

Yotuel stated on Facebook that El Taiger should receive his final farewell surrounded by his family, children, and loved ones in his hometown, and urged the Cuban Ministry of Culture to act with humanity in this case, using the hashtag #justiciaParaElTaiger.

"From my side, I believe that El Taiger should have the last goodbye from his family, children, and loved ones in his #Cuba and that the humanity of the Ministry of Culture should be evident #justiceForElTaiger," he noted.

Many followers of "Big Tai" agree that his remains should be moved to the island, where his family and natural audience are, who have held several vigils waiting for the miracle of a recovery.

"That's something that shouldn't even be up for discussion; it's in Cuba, alongside his mother whom he loved so much, where his remains should rest. There are many Cuban artists here, come together so they can be sent alongside his family, so his daughters, grandmother, and other loved ones can give him a final goodbye. Eternal peace to you #Taiger #latrankadetupais fly high, eternal light for you," commented an internet user.

El Taiger was declared dead this Thursday at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, where he had been fighting for his life for a week after being shot in the head.

The artist's family, whose daughters, grandmother, cousins, and uncles live in Cuba, thanked the reggaeton artist's followers for the support received since El Taiger became a "victim of a senseless violent crime" last week.

The statement clarifies that a memorial service will be announced soon for "Big Tai" fans to say their goodbye.
