The Cuban singer Dany Ome moved his followers by sharing an emotional message on his Instagram account dedicated to his grandmother, acknowledging her unconditional support in the early stages of his music career and during the most challenging moments of his life.
In her post, the artist expressed that all the awards he receives will be for her. "As long as you are alive, my love, all my awards will be yours first. As long as you have strength, you will open them, I love you. I haven't given you the Grammy, but I have given you the money from YouTube, the platinum and gold records. You are the only and first person in my family who believed in my dream, the one who told me not to give up when no one believed in me. Because of you, I am Dany Ome, because of you, I am the current, because of you, I am the damned, because of you, many successes exist."
Dany Ome also recalled a particularly difficult moment in his life in 2021 when he considered quitting his music career: "In 2021, I wanted to give up, and you took me to your house for a week so I could clear my mind and regain my strength. You deserve more than I can give you, I love you my tank, those are yours."
The video accompanying these words is a capture of a video call between grandmother and grandson in which she holds some of the achievements of the Cuban singer, who forms a duo with Kevincito El 13.
The response from her grandmother came quickly, filling their public conversation with even more emotion. Proudly, she wrote: "Thank God for guiding your steps and developing that talent that was born with you. I feel super proud to be your grandmother and to have contributed to your growth by encouraging you when you wanted to throw in the towel. May God continue to bless you, I love you."
This exchange between Dany Ome and his grandmother not only reflects the deep bond that unites them but also the fundamental role she has played in the life and success of the singer. The post has generated hundreds of supportive and admiring comments towards both.
