Teresa Padrón, manager of the Cuban reggaeton artist murdered in Miami, Jose Manuel Carbajal, El Taiger, criticized the announced tribute that will be held for the artist at the Fiesta Latina 2024, where it is expected that fans will have to pay for entry.

"While his ashes go to Cuba so that his people and family can say their final goodbye. Sad that no one could put even a dollar towards his wake or anything, and now a tribute charging the people?!?! I don’t understand anything! My silence and my patience aren’t going to last much longer," said Padrón in response to the announcement published on Instagram by the event.

In another post, the representative stated that it was a "disrespect," and assured that she will not tolerate "one more insolence with Jose and his daughters, son, and family."

"I am going to defend you until my death, there is no money that can buy my loyalty to you," added El Taiger's manager, who concluded by assuring that she will "fire back at anyone who wants to take advantage of you."

The death of El Taiger, one of the most popular Cuban reguetoneros in recent years both on and off the island, shocked thousands of people in recent weeks and sparked speculation that pointed to his team for allegedly "not taking care of the musician."

La Fiesta Latina will be held at the Kaseya Center in Miami on Saturday, October 26, and will feature guest artists such as Feid, Sebastián Yatra, Wisin, Manuel Turizo, Chencho Corleone, María Becerra, and a special performance by Black Eyed Peas.

Dj Conds will also be there, who was a friend and had worked with El Taiger.

The event -whose tickets are on sale via Ticketmaster- will be hosted by Enrique Santos, who assured that a tribute will be paid to the Cuban reggaeton artist, one of the main representatives of the so-called Cubatón.

Two days ago, Padrón bid a final public farewell to the reggaeton artist, following his funeral that took place on Saturday, October 19, at the Catholic Church of San Lázaro in Hialeah, Florida.

Through her social media, the young woman shared a moving message in which she expressed her sorrow over the departure of her friend and close collaborator: "We already said our final goodbye to the most wonderful man I have ever known in my life. It was a pleasure to be your friend, your manager, your support, your confidant, and more," she wrote in her heartfelt message, revealing the deep connection she had with the artist.

The message, which reflects both gratitude and pain, continues: "Thankful to God for putting you in my life, I will miss you for a lifetime. Always José."
