This Friday, details emerged regarding the arrest of Damián Valdez-Galloso, identified by the Miami Police as the individual responsible for the murder of José Manuel Crabajal Zaldívar, known as El Taiger.
According to a report by Univisión, the arrest on October 29 took place outside a business in Queens County, New York, by undercover police officers.
The security cameras at the location captured the moment when an officer pointed a gun at Damián on the sidewalk. He dropped to the ground, and three officers took him away.
"It was peaceful in essence because the police were very professional," said one of the workers from the business who witnessed the arrest to that television network.
The video of the arrest, which is now part of the evidence in the investigation of this case, has not been released to the public so far.
Damián Valdez-Galloso has a court date scheduled for November 12, which will be held in Queens, New York, where he was arrested.
According to information provided by journalist Daniel Benítez, Damián will be extradited to Miami. This process may take anywhere from days to months; although it is generally resolved within 30 days, it can take longer.
This week, Teresa Padrón, former manager of El Taiger, revealed in an interview that it was Damián himself who called 911 after shooting the singer and leaving him in a car near Jackson Memorial Hospital on October 3rd.
The police also have a key video recorded by a security camera from a nearby house to the one rented by Valdez-Galloso, where the events took place.
