The beaches of Miami are often the setting for incredible events. On their sands, you can find everything from bales of cocaine to cats that enjoy seawater.
But what was captured by a bathers' camera and shared by the news site Only in Dade was "what was missing" to make Miami Beach an even more "exotic" place.
And it turns out that a rat snake was spotted in its sands, whose bites are not dangerous to humans.
According to Wikipedia, reptile enthusiasts often keep rat snakes as pets. Eastern North American species are experiencing negative changes in their behavior due to global warming and rising temperatures.
At the beginning of September, a shark was spotted on the beach in Miami Beach, in front of the Setai Hotel, surprising bathers who quickly and alarmingly left the water.
A video shared by the Instagram account Only in Dade showed how the shark quickly caught people's attention as it swam calmly near the shore, a scene that sparked both curiosity and concern among social media users.
However, shark sightings in these waters are common and are part of the "landscape" of the Florida coastline. But… a snake… just what we needed!
