Republican representative María Elvira Salazar was re-elected on November 5th for a third term in the U.S. House of Representatives.
The Cuban-American will continue to represent District 27 of Florida, which includes areas such as Miami, Key Biscayne, Little Havana, Coral Gables, Kendall, and Cutler Bay.
After the election results, he wrote on his X account: "Thank you to the voters of Florida's 27th district for sending me to DC for a third term. I will continue to be your voice and fight for you!"
In his message, Salazar reaffirmed his commitment to key issues on his agenda: "We have a lot of work ahead: fixing the economy, reforming immigration, and fighting against socialism both in our country and abroad."
During his campaign, Salazar emphasized his experience and well-known name in the community, as well as his support for former president Donald Trump, which garnered him significant backing among conservative voters in South Florida.
