Teresa, manager of El Taiger, after Damián Valdez's refusal to appear in court: "He doesn't want to face it."

In the case of El Taiger, Valdez is facing charges of second-degree murder, tampering with evidence, and possession of a firearm.

Teresa Padrón, manager of Cuban reggaeton artist El Taiger, reacted to Damián Valdez-Galloso's refusal to appear before the Miami-Dade court this Friday for a second time.

"I can imagine why he doesn't want to face the public, because he knows that everyone is watching him, that everyone hates him, and that everyone is demanding answers. Given the look he had yesterday, I understand why he may not have wanted to show up today," Teresa stated before the cameras of several news outlets.

The manager added that during his first court appearance, Damián Valdez-Galloso "showed no sign of remorse or regret, nothing at all."

The second hearing for Damián in the homicide case involving El Taiger is scheduled for November 22. The accused will face charges of second-degree murder, tampering with evidence, and possession of a firearm; however, many—Teresa included—expect him to be charged with first-degree murder, as they believe that is what he deserves.

According to the Miami Police report, Damián Valdez-Galloso shot El Taiger in the head at the entrance of his home and dragged him through a back door to put him into a car. He cleaned the crime scene and drove the vehicle to the vicinity of Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he abandoned the reggaeton artist.
